You Reap What You Sow

You Reap What You Sow

I have been thinking a lot lately about the efforts that are put into things like relationships or even blogs like this one. I have grown up a Christian and have grown up inside the church, so this verse comes to mind…

Be not deceived: God is not mocked; for whatever a man shall sow, that also shall he reap. – Galatians 6:7

Now, the whole point of the Bible is to take the word for what it means and live it how God would want you to live. In this verse, I see that what you sow you will reap. If you give good things, you will receive good things. Now, I am not a theology major, and I know there are tons of issues with this verse just by the theology classes I have taken. I do not want to go into a long discussion about how this teaches out of acts you will get good things cause we all know that isn’t always how it works. My main point with this is to get people thinking about what they are giving out to others. If you give out good vibes… are nice to others then they will be nice to you. There are the few that will not sow good things. They will be cruel and mean regardless of the things that you do, and for those people you just cannot help the things that come from them, but this does not give anyone the right to be mean back. Their actions are on them, not on you! It took a while for me to realize this. I think I have asked myself a million times what I did or could have done differently in some situations and then I have to sit and realize that this was nothing that I could have done to prevent people from being this way.

The ultimate take away from my rambling would be that you need to mind the seeds that you plant in others lives. If you are nice and kind to others you will ultimately have a better outcome and reap good things. If you put effort into relationships, then they will flourish and grow into long lasting friendships and if you put effort and good things into something like a blog, then you will feel at peace with the work that you give to others. Anyway… hope I didn’t confuse anyone reading this. Just a little realization for myself on a Sunday morning! TOOTLES

    • Well said. By the way is there any point you are trying to make with the picture of the woman who looks very provocative? I am confused about the reason why the picture is even there.

      • Yes Erica, the photo is because those are items I needed to include on my post to blog. I do speak my mind but I do fashion blogging as well 🙂

  1. Wonderfully said, Tessa. When people are unkind, it’s a reflection and a projection of themselves: their own pain, fears, perceived failures, judgments, etc. If we could only replace all the negative emotions with loving ones, it would be transformative. Until then, it’s just as you said: the actions of others ultimately have nothing to do with you. If you stay true to yourself and aim to be loving, understanding and kind, you’ll always rise above. ❤

  2. Wow hrs really cool that a few of us bloggers are writing about the same thing – kindness and generosity of spirit – our vibes must be in synch or reading each other’s blog is stimulating our own thoughts ❤️my motto is kindness is contagious!!! Also to always edify those around me first because their success is also mine 😊
